To count name (or any data) according to your condition, you can use "=countif(starting cell number: ending cell number, "condition")"

Example

Cell "c5" to cell "c17" got list of your customer which name starting with title. You want to count only name that start with Ms.

Then you can use "=countif(c5:c17,"Ms.*")

Anyone who is going to visit Bangkok Thailand can travel via Bangkok MRT to many place in Bangkok. One way to get a MRT ticket is a ticket vending machine which locate (mostly on left side) before the entrance gate. Since the MRT system here still not that complex so you can select the destination very easy. Please follow the steps below.

1. Check out your destination (station name) from the MRT System Map.
2. At the ticket machine, change menu to English or Thai language.
3. Touch on the destination (station name).
4. Once screen display ticket fare, insert Thai currency coin or banknote.
5. Wait for change and the token (Black plastic coin).
Note: Change given in coin only!!

สำหรับท่านที่ต้องเดินทางในกรุงเทพฯ รถไฟใต้ดิน (MRT) เป็นอีกทางเลือกหนึ่งที่ช่วยหลีกหนึจากปัญหารถติด ในการซื้อตั๋ว MRT สามารถทำได้หลายวิธี วิธีหนึ่งคือซื้อจากเครื่องขายตั๋วอัตโนมัติ ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่จะตั้งอยู่ริมผนังด้านซ้ายมือก่อนถึงประตูทางเข้า วิธีการซื้อตั๋วจากเครื่องขายตั่วอัตโนมัติ ไม่ยากอย่างที่คิด ลองทำตามวิธีข้างล่างนี้ได้เลย
1. หาชื่อสถานีปลายทางจากแผนที่ MRT ก่อน ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่จะติดตั้งอยู่ใกล้ๆ ตู้ขายตั๋วอัตโนมัติ

To cut left characters from a data in a cell, you can use "=RIGHT(cell number,(Len(cell number)-number of characters))"

Example

cell "c5" got a data like "Mr.Somsak Sukjai " and you want to cut 3 characters from left end, which is "Mr.". You can use =Right(c5,(Len(c5)-3)) then you can cut off  "Mr." and the result will show on the cell that you enter this formula.

Note: to get different number of character, you can replace 3 with other number.

Line - Avoid an annoying notification. Hi I think everyone who loving "Line" application will be facing same issue. Although you are having fun when send / receive message via Line however sometimes you could not fun with this app because you are in the meeting and don't want this notification to lose your concentration. There are also some type that you might not need to always receive the alert message but just only open up this app when you are free. Therefore this post I will share how to set the notification according to your type.

I will start with how to get to the notification setting then will follow with type of notification and what will happen if you select each type of notification.

This post contains 3 sections.

• Section 1: Getting to Line notification setting page.
• Section 2: Setting a notification.
• Section 3: Shortcut to set a notification.

Section 1: Getting to Line notification setting page. (on smart phone or tablet)

1. Hit on Line icon to open Line App.

2. If there is any chat room open just click on "Back button" of your smart phone or tablet
to get to the mail screen of Line app.

3. On the main screen, click the right end icon ("More") to get to the manage page. This page will show all icons to manage your Line app. like "Add Friends", "Settings", "Profile" and etc. (Same as the screen below).

4. Then, click on "Settings" icon to open "setting" page.

5. On the setting page, click on "Notifications".

6. Now, you are in the Notifications setting page. Please see how each setting will give you a different view of notification. 

Please note: in this post, I will show the different type of notification from the highlighted functions below. 

Section 2: Differentiation of each setting.
Please select the most suit to you and you can always change this setting. I will tell the shortcut at the end of this post.

1. Set "Display Pop-Ups when screen ON / OFF"  = OFF
If you set as this type, there is no any pop of "new Line message" display. You will need to open Line and see whether there is any new message on each chat room.
Note: to change value of "Display Pop-Ups", just click on message under "Display Pop-Ups when..". Then the window of setting choice will display on the right and you can select the type from this window.

2. Set "Display Pop-Ups when Screen ON / OFF"  = Default | "Show Preview" = not select
If you set as this type, the "new Line message" will display in default Line format (big alert window) both when your mobile or tablet screen on and screen off. No preview message display.

3. Set "Display Pop-Ups when Screen ON / OFF"  = Simple | "Show Preview" = not select
If you set as this type, the "new Line message" will display in default Line format (thin alert window) both when your mobile or tablet screen on and screen off. No preview message display.

4. Set "Display Pop-Ups when Screen ON / OFF"  = Default | "Show Preview" = selected
If you set as this type, the "new Line message" will display in default Line format (big alert window) both when your mobile or tablet screen on and screen off. The preview of message will display. This option allows you to know who has sent this message to you and you can see some part of the message.

5. Set "Display Pop-Ups when Screen ON / OFF"  = Simple | "Show Preview" = selected
If you set as this type, the "new Line message" will display in simple Line format (thin alert window) both when your mobile or tablet screen on and screen off. The preview of message will display. This option allows you to know who has sent this message to you and you can see some part of the message.

6. Set "Sound" and "Vibrate" as selected or deselected.
Now you know how to do setting for previewing or no previewing of the new Line message, next if you want the notification to come with "sound" or "vibrate" you can also check box behind these two items.
Note:

• You can select both sound and vibrate. These options will work with "Display Pop-ups when Screen..." Default or Simple only. If you set it to OFF, nothing will happen. (Coz you will not get any notification when there is a new message).
• These options also work whether you select "Show Preview" or deselect.

Section 3: Shortcut to do notification setting.
Line provides a shortcut for you to do the notification setting. You can do this on the "Pop-ups" of new coming message. Different type of notification setting will show different position of shortcut icon.

Shortcut when you set notification as "Display Pop-Ups when Screen ON/OFF" = Default. and "Show Preview" = Select or non-select.

Shortcut when you set notification as "Display Pop-Ups when Screen ON/OFF" = Simple.

"Show Preview" = Select or non-select.
